Judge and Executioner by KIM SOONG NYUNG , GWANG SAN

Jihu Seo, who lost his father to Shin’s evil deeds, meets another victim: Duseok Kim, a former detective who also had his family murdered by Shin. Duseok vows to turn Jihu into a human weapon to exact revenge on Shin — in prison, with his bare hands. “Korea has not implemented the death penalty since 1997. With no one else upholding justice, what other choice is there?”

Rating: 4.7/5

Morally dark grey is the only way suitable to describe this series. The ending was fitting even though it made me feel like crying. Not a single character was good/clear white. Jihu being a protagonist not a hero; fulfilling the earlier foreshadowing of his death (24? years old). Worth a re-read even if the beginning was creepy.
